Shabab Al-Ahly crosses Tractor with three goals… and reaches the quarter-finals of “Asia’s Elite”

Shabab Al-Ahly qualified for the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League Elite Championship, after defeating Iranian Tractor, 3-0, in the match that was held at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, as part of the Round of 16 competitions.
The “Knights” presented an outstanding performance, during which they imposed their control over the course of the match in terms of possession and opportunity creation, translating their advantage into a deserved victory that reflects their technical superiority throughout the match.
The confrontation witnessed a turning point in the 52nd minute, after Tractor player Ali Reda was sent off after interfering with Sultan Adel, which resulted in a penalty kick, which Yuri Cesar succeeded in scoring in the 65th minute, giving the lead to Shabab Al-Ahly.
The team continued its pressure in search of strengthening the score, until Saeed Ezzat was able to score the second goal in the 80th minute, after he took advantage of a quick counterattack and shot a powerful ball from inside the penalty area.
In stoppage time, Lima added the third goal in the 98th minute, after being completely alone with the goal, to confirm the superiority of the “Knights” and end the match with a clean score.
With this victory, Shabab Al-Ahly sets a date with Buriram United of Thailand in the quarter-finals, in a confrontation that will be held next Saturday, as part of its journey towards competing for the continental title.
