Affected by losses in the technology sector.. US stocks open lower
I opened Major US stock indices are lower today, with Technology stocks came under renewed pressure due to selling operations.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell (27.1) points, or (0.06%), to (48,434.88) points.
While the Standard & Poor’s 500 fell by (5.3) points, or (0.08%), to (6,900.44) points, and the index fell Nasdaq Composite (8.7) points, or by (0.04%) to (667.23465) points.
European Stocks
On the other hand, European stocks today recorded a record high at the close for the second session in a row, supported by the rise of the banking and commodity indices, but weak trading at the end of the year limited the gains.
The European STOXX 600 index rose 0.6% to record 592.78 points, approaching the 600-point barrier. The banking index increased 1.3%, and the aviation and defense index also gained 1.4%.
