Maduro declares a national emergency and the government calls for mobilization

On Saturday, Venezuela denounced what it described as a “very dangerous military aggression” by the United States, after hearing strong explosions following the flight of aircraft in the Venezuelan capital, Caracas.

The Venezuelan government explained in a statement that the explosions occurred in four regions, including Caracas, noting that President Nicolas Maduro declared a national emergency in the country.

The government also called on all social and political forces to activate mobilization plans.

CBS reported, via its correspondent on the X platform, that US President Donald Trump ordered raids on sites inside Venezuela, including military installations.
