The start of the race for the honor of the Ruler of Sharjah for the age of weaners in Al Dhaid Square
SHARJAH, 3rd JANUARY / WAM / Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, the Weanling Weanling Race of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah – Season 2026 was launched today, organized and supervised by the Sharjah Camel Racing Club.
The competitions, which were held at Al Dhaid Camel Racing Field, included the participation of weanling camels from the tribes in eight rounds, including 6 rounds for the people of Al Dhaid and two open rounds.
The first round was won by “Nimrouda” by Sultan Saif Awad Al Ketbi, the second round was won by “Shaheen” by Nasser Hamad Saeed Al Mansouri, the third round was won by “Bint Al Baz” by Sultan Harib Duha Al Mansouri, and in the fourth round “Al Sharas” was won by Sultan Saif Awad Al Ketbi, and the fifth round was won by “Al Shaheeniya” by Abdullah Humaid Hareb Al Shamsi.
As for the sixth round, “Shaheen” was won by Abdullah Humaid Hareb Al Shamsi, the seventh round was won by “Al Shaheeniya” by Abdullah Rashid Muhammad Al Ghafli, and the eighth round was won by “Shaheen” by Khalifa Ali Khalifa Humaidan Al Falasi.
His Excellency Abdullah Mohammed Muadhad bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, President of the Sharjah Camel Racing Club, confirmed that the weanling age race in Al Dhaid Square comes under the directives and direct support of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah to preserve this ancient heritage of fathers and grandfathers. It also represents a great addition to the annual festivals and races organized by the club.
