The Ruler of Sharjah raises the allocations of social assistance beneficiaries to 17,500 dirhams

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, directed that the amounts granted to cases benefiting from social assistance at the Department of Social Services be raised to the decent living standard of 17,500 dirhams, with the allocations starting from this January.
The head of the Sharjah Human Resources Department, Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, told the Al Khat program on Sharjah TV that His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi also directed that the Sharjah government’s human resources system be applied to the employees of the Sharjah Charitable Society who are appointed to the general cadre of the government, and grant them all the benefits that government employees enjoy, including – promotions and status adjustment for those with higher academic degrees.
His Highness also directed that the imams of the emirate’s mosques who were working under the bonus system be appointed to the Sharjah Government staff, starting from January 1, and a compensatory financial reward will be paid retroactively for the period in which they were working under the bonus system.
