Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Authority, confirmed that when the UAE established the National Media Authority, it was not merely establishing a regulatory body, but rather launched a media impetus that unites the voice, protects the achievement, and conveys the inspiring story of the Emirates to various parts of the world, with a vision that anticipates the future and is based on the constants of national identity.

He said, in a blog post on his account via the “X” platform, that the vision of the wise leadership in developing the media sector is based on a deep belief in the necessity of having a media system capable of imitating the language of the era, based on the fact that the media constitutes a basic pillar of sustainable development, and a shield that protects the state’s achievements, and contributes to promoting them and enhancing its positive reputation in various forums.

He extended his sincere thanks and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” for the precious trust he placed in him by appointing him as Chairman of the National Media Authority, stressing that this assignment represents a national responsibility that requires him and the Authority’s team to work on translating the thought and vision of His Highness in building a modern and strong national media that keeps pace with the state’s ambitions and embodies its position as a global model of leadership and innovation.

He added that the successes achieved by the media sector during the recent period would not have been achieved without the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him,” in addition to the close follow-up and continuous support of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Office, stressing that this support formed the cornerstone in developing an advanced media system capable of innovation and facing challenges.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed stressed that the Authority will work to establish a professional and advanced media system that keeps pace with the rapid digital transformations, and strengthen the UAE’s position as a leading regional and global media center, with a focus on innovation and creativity in creating content that reflects the values ​​of tolerance, openness and progress.

He explained that one of the priorities of the next phase is building the capabilities of national media cadres and empowering young talents, in addition to strengthening strategic partnerships with local and international media institutions, and developing a stimulating environment for creativity and innovation in the media sector, stressing that the authority will work in a team spirit with various governmental and private media institutions, to achieve the UAE’s vision of creating positive media content that contributes to spreading the values ​​of coexistence and peace.

He pointed out that the next stage requires diligent work to establish a national media system worthy of the status of the UAE, a system that speaks with one strong and influential voice, without losing the richness of its diversity or the depth of its national identity.
