Heavy rains kill 11 people on the island of Madagascar

11 people died and others were injured as a result of Heavy rain witnessed by MadagascarSince late November of last year.

The Madagascar Disaster Management Department reported that the capital, Antananarivo, was among the most affected areas, indicating that torrential rains affected 274 people, and caused the destruction and damage of 26 residential buildings.

Old and unsafe homes

The authorities urged residents to be careful, and called on all families who live in old or unsafe traditional homes to evacuate. their homes and head to safe places.

While the Madagascar Meteorological Authority expected the continuation of Rainfall in the northwest of the country and the central highlands during the coming days.
