The Federal Tax Authority launches the “Labih” initiative to serve senior citizens

The Federal Tax Authority launched the “Labih” initiative, which aims to provide support and facilities for senior citizen customers. To enable them to carry out their tax transactions and procedures smoothly and accurately.
The Authority explained in a press release today that these services are provided through call and taxpayer support centers that provide support to taxpayers to ensure that they fulfill their tax obligations with ease and with the highest degree of efficiency in an environment that encourages voluntary compliance.
She pointed out that within the framework of this initiative, a set of customized services were provided to senior citizens to meet their requirements and aspirations, within the framework of the Federal Tax Authority’s strategy to enhance its role in the field of social responsibility and effectively contribute to improving the quality of life in society.
Director General of the Federal Tax Authority, Khaled Ali Al-Bustani, said that the initiative comes within the framework of the authority’s efforts to enhance the efficiency of providing appropriate services and facilities to senior citizens, in implementation of the directives of the wise leadership to provide them with the best levels of care, support them, and improve their quality of life as they are an essential and active component of society, and to return the favor to them as an expression of appreciation for their role and continuous giving in serving society and the renaissance of the nation in all fields.
He added that the “Labih” initiative aims to provide innovative tax solutions that facilitate senior citizens’ access to all of the Authority’s services through mechanisms characterized by clarity, speed, and privacy, taking into account reducing the effort expended during the transaction process. He explained that the initiative provides a special and simplified path for obtaining tax services for senior citizens, who may face difficulties or challenges in the precise application of tax procedures, and provides support, guidance, and facilities that take into account their needs and contribute to their happiness through transaction experiences. He stressed that the Authority is keen to enhance a tax environment that takes into account and enhances the privacy of senior citizens, and strives to raise the level of their well-being within the framework of the future vision of community care, which aims to develop innovative models that enable senior citizens to benefit from services easily and effectively, in a way that guarantees them the best levels of quality of life.
The Authority explained that the “Labih” initiative provides a variety of features that encourage tax compliance easily and accurately. Among them is the “Direct Line” service, through which a specialized team at the Taxpayer Support Office responds to all inquiries received from senior citizens, follows up on their requests in easy and quick steps, and gives them priority through the Authority’s call center, and the “Fast Track” service at the Taxpayer Support Center, which gives priority to processing requests and transactions of senior citizens and provides simplified and integrated tax guidance while ensuring speedy completion and taking into account their full privacy.
The Authority added that among the electronic services provided within the initiative is the service of “accessing documents electronically” and making them available to view directly through the Authority’s website without the need to visit the Taxpayer Support Center, in addition to allocating a group of awareness events and programs for senior citizens, including workshops and introductory and awareness-raising sessions that suit them to enhance their level of tax awareness, and enable them to deal efficiently and accurately with tax legislation, procedures, and the services it provides.
