With broad Gulf participation, the “public open” rounds of the Fazza Falconry Championship have been launched

The open public rounds were launched amidst strong competition and wide Gulf participation, in the first two days for the Gir Taba’ and Gir Shaheen categories, within the main Fazza falconry championship, “Talwah”, organized by the Fazza Championships Administration, at the Hamdan bin Mohammed Center for the Revival of Heritage, and attracting elite falconers, with the number of birds exceeding more than 1,000 birds since the start of the event and expectations of record participation in the coming days as well.
The general open category was distinguished by the remarkable participation of falconers from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, especially from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Qatar, adding more to the distinctive atmosphere of this traditional sport that brings together the people of the region over successive generations.
In the gear rounds, the Maidan team excelled, achieving the chick symbol run with the “filtered” bird with a time of 16.583 seconds, followed by the Dubai team with the “160” bird with 16.582 seconds, and in third place was Abdullah Khalfan Al Qubaisi with the “orange” bird with 16.890 seconds.
Abdullah Khalfan Al Qubaisi also excelled in the Girnas Symbol round, with the bird “Annoying” with a time of 16.782 seconds, followed in second and third place by the Al-Sayrimi team with the bird “T27” with a time of 17.035 seconds, and with the bird “Madaza’il” with a time of 17.064 seconds.
In the Jeer Shaheen rounds, Abdullah Khalfan Al Qubaisi excelled to achieve the chick symbol run, with the bird “Masoor” with a time of 16.708 seconds, followed by the Dubai team with the bird “R16” with a time of 17.027 seconds, so Al Qubaisi returned and achieved third place with the bird “Terrible” with a time of 17.348 seconds.
The Maidan team won the Girnas symbol half, with the bird “Ajeeb” with a time of 16.656 seconds, while the second and third places went to the Dubai team with the bird “Brown” with a time of 16.665 seconds, and the bird “Tjouri” with a time of 16.883 seconds.
In the Golden Burqa Chicken round, Abdullah Khalfan Al Qubaisi excelled, achieving first and second place with the bird “Distorted” and the bird “Dazzling”, while Rashid Humaid Al Mansouri came third with the bird “S36”.
The public open competitions will continue tomorrow with the Pure Gear rounds, while the Qarmosha rounds will be held the next day.
The head of the organizing committee for the Fazza Falconry Championships, Dimithan bin Suwaidan, confirmed that the current edition of the championship is witnessing a noticeable increase in the number of new falconers, which reflects the success of these championships in attracting a new generation of practitioners, consolidating the sport of falconry as one of the authentic popular legacies in the conscience of young people, and encouraging them to follow the path of their fathers and grandfathers in preserving this ancient legacy.
Bin Suwaidan pointed out that the accumulation of experience among falconers over the past years contributed to raising their level of technical awareness, and gave them a greater ability to evaluate the capabilities of birds and choose the most appropriate rounds for each falcon, whether in the symbol rounds, the golden burqa rounds, or the cash rounds. He said that the falconer who participates with a number of birds has become acutely aware of the strengths and distinctions of each falcon, which is reflected in the good selection of rounds and participation in categories that suit their abilities, which explains the strong levels of competition witnessed this season.
Bin Suwaidan welcomed participants from inside and outside the country, stressing that the Fazza Championships are characterized by their openness to everyone, and the comfortable and integrated competitive environment they provide. He explained that the preparation of the tournament site at the headquarters of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Center for the Revival of Heritage was carried out according to the highest standards, while providing various means of comfort, and keeping pace with technological development through smart facilities that allow participants to follow their participation schedules and round times via the “F3” electronic application, giving them greater flexibility and broader enjoyment of the atmosphere. Championship.
