3 million barrels…a decrease in oil inventories in America


Crude oilin the United States last week reached (419.1) million barrels.

The Energy Information Administration reported today that Crude oil inventories in the United States declined last week, while gasoline and distillate inventories rose.

The administration reported that crude oil inventories fell (3.8) million barrels to (419.1) million barrels in the week ending January 2, while analysts’ expectations in a Reuters poll indicated an increase of (447) thousand barrels.

Gasoline inventories rose

Gasoline inventories rose. (7.7) million barrels during the week to (242) million barrels, compared to analysts’ expectations of an increase of (3.2) million barrels.

Energy Information Administration data showed an increase in distillate stocks, which include diesel and heating oil, by (5.6) million barrels during the week to (129.3) million barrels, compared to expectations of an increase of (2.1) million barrels.
