9 international races on the seventh evening at the Meydan track with the participation of 123 horses

Dubai, 8 January / WAM / The Dubai Horse Racing Club will organize, tomorrow, the seventh evening of the Dubai Racing Carnival activities at the Meydan International Racecourse, which includes nine diverse races suitable for different ages and levels of horses, with the participation of 123 horses representing eight countries, led by the “Lord North Handicap” and “Al Wasl Stakes” races, with a total prize money of 2.065 million dirhams.

The “Lord North Handicap”, the sixth race of the evening, is considered one of its most prominent stations, with a prize of 350,000 dirhams, and is held for a distance of 1,800 meters on the grass track, with the participation of 12 horses, including the horse “Flight Plan”, a previous winner of the second category race, which is making its first appearance on the Meydan track.

The racing program opens with the “DB World Digital Technology” Handicap round, for a distance of 1,900 meters on grass, for horses aged four years and above, with the participation of 16 horses competing for financial prizes amounting to 190,000 dirhams, followed by the second half, “Mina Rashid”, for beginner horses aged three years, for a distance of 1,600 meters on sand, with the participation of 13 horses, and a prize amounting to 165,000 dirhams.

The third race, “Jebel Ali Port,” will be held for a distance of 1,400 meters on the grass track, with the participation of 16 horses competing for financial prizes worth 190,000 dirhams, while the fourth race, “We One,” on sand for a distance of 1,600 meters will witness the participation of 16 horses, with prizes amounting to 190,000 dirhams.

The program includes the fifth round, “Al Wasl Stakes”, which is designated for three-year-old horses, and is held for a distance of 1,200 meters on a straight grass track, with the participation of 11 horses competing for a prize of 300 thousand dirhams.

The evening’s competitions will continue with the seventh round, “DB World Gulf”, on sand for a distance of 1,200 metres, with the participation of 7 horses competing for financial prizes amounting to 300,000 dirhams, followed by the eighth round, “DB World Express”, on grass, for a distance of 1,000 metres, with the participation of 16 horses, and a prize of 190,000 dirhams.

The evening concludes with a 1,900-meter “Hamriyah Port” race on the grass track, with the participation of 16 horses, competing for a financial prize amounting to 190,000 dirhams.
