The impact of motherhood on Carmen Bsaibes’ life

The Lebanese artist Carmen Bsaibes revealed the profound impact that motherhood had on her personal and professional life, stressing that it constituted a qualitative shift in her acting experience, during her conversation with ET in Arabic in conjunction with her participation in the series “Layl”, which is an Arabized Turkish drama that she is currently filming in Türkiye.
Basibis explained that her experience as a mother was directly reflected in her artistic performance, noting that she had become more sincere and profound in expressing feelings, compared to her previous participations, including the series “Bride of Beirut,” which preceded the motherhood stage in her life.
In “Lail,” Carmen plays the role of “Ward,” a mother who engages in a harsh human struggle to protect her daughter, “Malak,” stressing that her connection to the character stems from her true sense of motherhood and the sacrifices a mother may make to protect her child.
On a personal level, Basibis spoke about her constant keenness to accompany her daughter, “Andrea,” revealing that she moved with her entire family to Turkey during the filming period. She also stressed her decision to keep her daughter away from the media in order to preserve her privacy and comfort.
She also touched on the challenges she faces in reconciling professional success with motherhood, considering that motherhood has given her unexpected inner strength, in addition to changing her lifestyle and her ability to adapt to work pressures and lack of sleep, in addition to her interest in regaining her fitness after pregnancy through breastfeeding and sports.
