Starmer urges America and Iran to “reach a solution” after the failure of negotiations

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer urged the United States and Iran to “find a solution” after the failure of peace talks. He also called for the fragile ceasefire to continue and warned against any new escalation.
The British news agency (PA Media) reported that the British Prime Minister discussed with the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, what took place in the peace negotiations between Washington and Tehran, after the end of the session that lasted for 21 hours in Pakistan, without reaching an agreement in the early hours of Sunday morning.
US Vice President J.D. Vance left Islamabad without reaching an agreement, citing Iran’s refusal to commit to not possessing a nuclear weapon, which leaves uncertainty regarding the fragile truce that will last for two weeks.
In a statement regarding the call that took place between Starmer and the Sultan of Oman, a spokeswoman for Starmer said: “They discussed the peace talks that were held in Pakistan, and urged the two sides to reach a solution to the crisis.”
The statement added: “The two leaders agreed on the need for the ceasefire to continue, and for all parties to avoid any additional escalation.”
