“Tenders”: 3 million dinars for the construction work of the new Hawar desalination plant

The Tenders and Auctions Board opened the envelopes for 6 public tenders, for which 36 bids were submitted, including a tender for the Electricity and Water Authority “Planning and Studies Department,” which is interested in the construction work for the new Hawar station for desalinating seawater by reverse osmosis.
The Authority indicated that it intends to build a new seawater desalination plant with reverse osmosis on Hawar Island on the basis of an EPC contract, with a production capacity of one million gallons per day of potable water, as it obtained 10 bids, the least of which amounted to more than 3 million dinars.
The Authority issued another tender through which it intends to supply vinyl pipes “PVC Pipe Size 6”, and it received 5 bids, the least of which amounted to 49 thousand dinars. In a third tender for the Electricity Authority – Central Warehouses Administration, it intends to supply anti-scalant chemicals.
For its part, the Municipality of the Northern Region invited specialists in the field of advertising to submit their offers in a public auction to invest in 214 advertising sites of the type of lighting poles on the streets. It received 5 bids, the least of which amounted to 340 thousand dinars.
In turn, the Bahrain International Circuit Company wants to appoint an insurance company to cover the insurance of the circuit’s property against all risks, sabotage, terrorism and subsequent losses, and it received 5 bids, the least of which was 88 thousand dinars.
While Bapco Refining Company issued a tender to supply heat exchanger tubes for the distillation units during the units’ downtime for maintenance in 2026, as well as for the distillation unit No. 4ACDU during the unit’s downtime for maintenance in 2027, it received 7 bids, the least of which amounted to 54 thousand dinars.
