Session in "Top 1 billion followers" calls for setting "A unified global dictionary of the creative economy"

Dubai, 11 January / WAM / Kaya Yuriev and Jasmine Enberg, founders of “Scalable”, a company specializing in the creative economy, confirmed that the sector is witnessing an accelerated stage of maturity that requires the development of a “unified global dictionary of the creative economy”, as a basic pillar for organizing this economy and measuring its real impact.

This came during a session entitled “Live Dialogue with Kaya Yuryev and Jasmine Enberg” within the activities of the fourth edition of the One Billion Followers Summit.

Kaya Yuriev explained that the Middle East was one of the first regions to adopt digital media and the creator economy, driven by the nature of the regulated media landscape, stressing that the absence of unified definitions for concepts such as the creator, the influencer, and the creator economy limits the ability to measure the size of the sector and build effective economic models for it.

She stressed that unifying terminology constitutes a pivotal step to ensuring sustainable and systematic growth of this economy.

For her part, Jasmine Enberg confirmed that deep interaction indicators such as comments, shares, and saves have become the most accurate in measuring the performance of creators, because they reflect real user behavior on social media platforms, noting that the Middle East has become an advanced global center for the creative economy thanks to the high level of professionalism and organization.

She stated that regulating the creator economy and the content industry is one of the most prominent reasons that made it able to flourish to reach the size it is today, noting that the “creator economy” has now become part of almost every industry, from sports to politics, to news, and of course to advertising, marketing, and other fields.
