Expo Sharjah and"Messe Essen" The Germans discuss cooperation in the field of exhibitions

Sharjah, January 14 / WAM / During the activities of the 21st edition of the steel and steel exhibition “SteelFab 2026”, the Sharjah Expo Center discussed the prospects for joint cooperation with the German company “Messe Essen”, the organizer of the “Essen Metal Cutting and Welding” exhibition, one of the most prominent exhibitions specialized in the metal industry in Europe.
This came during a meeting between His Excellency Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of the center, and Oliver B. Kohrt, CEO of the German company, during the company’s delegation’s visit today to the “Steel Fab 2026” exhibition.
The two sides discussed ways to develop the partnership between the Steel Fab and Essen exhibitions and work to build specialized global platforms that contribute to supporting the growth and development of the industrial exhibition sector and enhancing its role in serving the iron and steel industry in keeping pace with the rapid transformations witnessed by this vital sector at the regional and international levels.
His Excellency Saif Mohammed Al Midfa confirmed that there are opportunities to enhance cooperation with the “Essen Metal Cutting and Welding” exhibition, which contributes to the advancement of the metal business sector, noting that the “Steel Fab” exhibition represents a strategic platform to support the iron and steel industry and enhance integration between the various links of industrial supply chains.
He pointed out that the partnership with industry leaders in Germany enhances the added value of Steel Fab and enhances its role as an engine for industrial innovation, attracting foreign investment, increasing opportunities to expand the international partnership base of the Expo Center Sharjah, and providing a stimulating environment for international companies to showcase their latest technologies and products, thus enhancing the competitiveness of the metal industries sector in the UAE.
He added that the Emirate of Sharjah, which hosts about 35% of the industrial facilities in the UAE, represents the ideal base for launching strategic partnerships aimed at promoting advanced technology in the iron and steel industry sector, noting that the wide international participation witnessed by “Steel Fab 2026” reflects the great global confidence in the exhibition, especially since the German presence constitutes a special qualitative addition in light of the advanced technologies offered by the exhibitors, including robots that operate with artificial intelligence and modern laser systems.
