The first tender was issued in the new year to import 595 thousand tons of wheat

Today, the Public Authority for Food Security announced the launch of the first tender to import wheat for this year, with a quantity of (595) thousand tons for supply during the period (April – May 2026).

The Chairman of the Authority, Engineer Ahmed Al-Fares, confirmed that the quantity offered comes within the framework of the Authority’s strategic plans to maintain wheat stocks and meet the needs of milling companies.

He stated that the quantity is distributed among (10) ships, by (3) ships to Jeddah Islamic Port, (4) ships to Yanbu Commercial Port, two ships to King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, and one ship to Jazan Port.
