Trump indicated in a post on his Truth Social platform that, starting on February 1, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands will be subject to And Finland, to impose a 10 percent customs duty on all products it exports to the United States.
He added: "By June 1, tariffs will rise to 25 percent. It will remain payable until an agreement is reached to purchase all of Greenland"
Trump pointed out that "These countries, which are playing this very dangerous game, have taken a level of risk that is unacceptable and unsustainable"

It was not immediately clear what authority the US President might rely on to impose these tariffs.
Since his return to the White House, Trump has imposed tariffs on the exports of the majority of the United States’ trading partners, in response to what his administration considers unfair trade practices, and as a tool of pressure on governments.
