Dubai Land Department launches "Real estate diploma" In partnership with the Higher Colleges of Technology to prepare specialized national cadres

Dubai, January 19 / WAM / The Dubai Land Department launched the “Real Estate Diploma”, as part of a strategic partnership with the Higher Colleges of Technology, in a step aimed at preparing qualified national cadres who possess the knowledge and practical skills necessary to work in the real estate sector and contribute to its sustainability and growth.
The launch of the diploma comes within the framework of a trend that combines the practical experience of the Dubai Land Department and the academic excellence of the Higher Colleges of Technology, to provide an accredited qualification program that focuses on linking theoretical knowledge and practical application, in keeping with the requirements of the real estate market in the UAE, and in line with the Dubai Real Estate Sector Strategy 2033, and the “Dubai Social Agenda 33” aimed at empowering national competencies and raising their readiness to participate in the process of economic and social development.
In a related context, on the sidelines of the diploma launch ceremony, the department signed cooperation agreements with a group of leading real estate development companies in the country, which included Emaar Properties, Sobha Properties, Aldar Properties, Omniyat Real Estate Development, Azizi Real Estate Development, Danube Properties, and Ellington Properties. These agreements aim to support the “Real Estate Diploma” program by providing practical training opportunities, transferring professional expertise, and aligning educational outcomes with the needs of the labor market, thus contributing to the preparation of qualified national cadres capable of effective integration into the real estate sector and enhancing its long-term sustainability.
The “Real Estate Diploma” aims to qualify 40 participants in each batch, through a program that extends over two years and is 90 credit hours, and covers specialized topics that include real estate management, real estate appraisal and evaluation, real estate brokerage, dealing with landlords and tenants, in addition to promoting real estate services, in a way that enhances participants’ readiness to engage in the labor market with confidence and efficiency.
In this regard, His Excellency Omar Hamad Bushahab, Director General of the Dubai Land Department, confirmed that the step comes as an inspiration to the vision of the wise leadership and its constant affirmation that true investment begins with people, and out of a desire to develop human capital. He pointed out that the strength of the real estate sector stems from the competence of its cadres, and from providing the opportunity for ambitious energies to develop their skills, expand their horizons, and build clear career paths based on knowledge, trust, and empowerment, which reflects positively on the sector’s sustainability and development. And its prosperity.
He said: This trend comes at a time when the sector in Dubai is witnessing an unprecedented historical achievement, after the value of real estate transactions during the year 2025 exceeded the barrier of 917 billion dirhams, in a performance that reflects the strength of the market, the clarity of the vision, and its complete harmony with the goals of the Dubai Real Estate Sector Strategy 2033.
He added: The Dubai Land Department continues its pivotal role in empowering national competencies, as it has contributed, since the launch of the Tamkeen Real Estate Program in 2024, to employing 1,800 male and female citizens in the real estate sector, in addition to developing the presence of Emirati talents in the real estate brokerage system, which today includes 2,028 male and female male and female brokers, including 426 female citizens, which reflects the department’s commitment to building a more comprehensive and sustainable sector, led by people and enhancing competitiveness for the future.
He pointed out that the launch of the “Real Estate Diploma” comes within the framework of a practical approach that aims to link theoretical knowledge with practical application, and prepare individuals who possess the understanding, ability and readiness to deal with the reality of the market and its transformations with a responsible professional mentality and a clear future vision, which contributes to enhancing the readiness of participants to actively engage in the labor market, pointing out that the diploma reflects the department’s commitment to supporting applied learning paths and building practical experiences that enhance stability and professional excellence.
For his part, His Excellency Dr. Faisal Al-Ayyan, Director of the Higher Colleges of Technology Complex, said that the partnership with the Dubai Land Department reflects the strategic directions of the colleges of technology, which are to focus on building effective partnerships with the business and industrial sectors in a way that supports the achievement of their development plans with Emirati competencies, through cooperation in offering and developing new programs that are compatible with the current and future needs of those sectors. He explained that the introduction of the “Real Estate Diploma” program is an affirmation of the success of the colleges in their approach based on “inclusiveness” concerned with diversification. Educational options are available to students by adding the professional diploma track to their academic tracks, in response to the changing nature of the market, whose job needs are no longer limited to specific academic degrees, with a greater focus on applied and technological skills.
