Dubai Chambers promotes sustainable trade and investment partnerships in Greece

Dubai Chambers discussed the prospects for joint trade and investment opportunities with the public and private sectors in Greece, with the aim of strengthening economic partnerships and opening new horizons for growth and cooperation in strategic sectors.

This came during an official visit organized by Dubai Chambers to the Greek capital, Athens, headed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dubai Chambers, Engineer Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, and in the presence of the Director General of Dubai Chambers, Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, within the framework of the “Corridors of Growth” initiative, which aims to strengthen the frameworks of trade and investment cooperation between Dubai and global markets, where a series of meetings were held with relevant Greek authorities from the public and private sectors.

Engineer Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri said, “Dubai and Greece have well-established relations at all levels, and this visit comes within the framework of efforts made to expand strategic partnerships and enhance paths of joint cooperation at the international level, through which we seek to explore new opportunities for economic and investment cooperation between the two sides, which contributes to building qualitative and sustainable partnerships.”

During the visit, the Dubai Chambers delegation held a series of high-level meetings with officials from a number of government and private institutions in Greece, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in priority economic sectors.

The list of entities that the chambers delegation met with during the visit included the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Investment Fund of Greece, which supervises a wide portfolio of subsidiaries owned by the Greek government and manages assets worth 11.7 billion euros, in addition to the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the largest chamber of commerce in Greece, with a membership of more than 120,000 companies.

During the activities of its trade mission to Greece, Dubai Chambers concluded a memorandum of understanding with the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where the memorandum was signed by Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah and the President of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ioanis Pratakos, with the aim of improving bilateral work, enhancing cooperation in the sectors of trade and industry, and opening new horizons to increase the volume of trade exchange between Dubai and Athens, in a way that serves the interests of investors and companies.

The value of non-oil trade between Dubai and Greece reached two billion dirhams in 2024, with a growth of 13.7% on an annual basis, while the number of Greek companies registered with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce continues to rise, as 102 Greek companies joined the Chamber’s membership during the year 2025, bringing the total number of active Greek companies registered in the Chamber’s membership to 419 companies, with a growth of 22.5% on an annual basis.
