Trump’s statements about NATO’s role in Afghanistan are “unacceptable”

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen on Saturday strongly criticized US President Donald Trump for saying that NATO countries remained on the back lines in Afghanistan.

She said on her Facebook page: “I completely understand what the Danish veterans said. There are no words to describe the extent of the pain they feel.” She added: “It is unacceptable for the American President to question the commitment of NATO soldiers in Afghanistan.”
