The Arabian Gulf University and the Alumni Club recently signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at developing a framework for joint cooperation in the educational and professional fields and capacity building, in a way that contributes to serving students, graduates and society.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Saad bin Saud Al Fuhaid, while it was signed on behalf of the Alumni Club by the club’s president, Mr. Abdul Latif Ahmed Al-Zayani, confirming the keenness of both sides to strengthen the institutional partnership and complement the roles between the university and its graduates.

The memorandum of understanding aims to strengthen the relationship between the university and the Alumni Club, and expand opportunities for communication and networking between current students, graduates, faculty and staff, in addition to exploring joint initiatives and activities that contribute to community development.

The agreement stipulated a number of areas of cooperation, including organizing networking events, workshops, seminars, and joint conferences, providing guidance and professional development opportunities for students and graduates, in addition to sharing scientific and knowledge resources, including research and the work of faculty members and students – in accordance with the university’s controls and the approval of the authors – to support the knowledge library of the Alumni Club and promote educational and professional growth.

Under the memorandum, the Alumni Club will contribute to organizing events, mentorship programs, and career development activities, in addition to providing practical training programs to train students throughout the year, while the Arabian Gulf University is committed to providing access to its facilities, resources, and academic expertise to support joint initiatives. The two parties also agreed to appoint accredited coordinators to follow up on implementation and supervise areas of cooperation, and to hold periodic meetings to evaluate progress, discuss challenges, and explore additional development opportunities.

This agreement comes within the framework of the Arabian Gulf University’s keenness to strengthen its partnerships with civil society institutions and the professional sector, link educational outcomes to the labor market, and activate the role of graduates in supporting the academic and development process, in line with its regional mission and strategic goals.
