The President of the State discusses with the Kuwaiti Minister of Defense fraternal relations and paths of cooperation and joint work

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, received today Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al Salem Al Sabah, Minister of Defense of the sisterly State of Kuwait, who is on a working visit to the country during which he will participate in the activities of the “UAE and Kuwait…Brothers Forever” week, which begins tomorrow and continues for a week in all the emirates of the country.

During the meeting that took place at the Beach Palace in Abu Dhabi, the Kuwaiti Minister of Defense conveyed to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan the greetings of his brother, His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the sisterly State of Kuwait, and his wishes for the UAE for further progress and prosperity, while His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan conveyed to him his greetings and congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on the occasion of Kuwait’s celebration of its national days. He wished him continued health and happiness and for Kuwait and its brotherly people continued development and growth under his leadership.

The Kuwaiti Minister of Defense also expressed his thanks to His Highness the President of the State for the UAE’s fraternal celebration and participation in Kuwait National Days, praising the solid relations between the two countries.

His Highness and the Kuwaiti Minister of Defense discussed fraternal relations, paths of cooperation and joint work, and opportunities to enhance them in various fields that serve the mutual interests of the two countries and achieve the aspirations of their brotherly peoples for development and prosperity.

The meeting also touched on the latest developments in the situation in the region and the efforts made in this regard, in addition to a number of regional and international issues of common interest.

The meeting was attended by Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Development Affairs and Families of Martyrs, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Special Affairs, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor to His Highness His Highness the President, and a number of sheikhs, ministers and senior officials.

It was also attended by the Kuwaiti delegation, which includes the Minister of Public Works, Dr. Noura Al-Mishaan, Sheikh Abdullah Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, Governor of the Capital, Sheikh Hamoud Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Governor of Al-Ahmadi, and a number of senior officials.
