The Federal Police Leadership Council reviews operational reports and a number of institutional policies at the Ministry of Interior

ABU DHABI, 28 JANUARY / WAM / His Excellency Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and Public Security in Dubai, Chairman of the Federal Police Leadership Council, chaired a meeting of the Council during which a number of reports and presentations related to security and operational performance at the state level were reviewed, in the presence of police commanders, senior officers and officials of the Ministry of Interior.

The Council reviewed a presentation on the annual report on disturbing reports, which included comparative indicators between previous years, in addition to reviewing emerging patterns of crimes at the international level, and emphasizing the importance of adopting proactive measures to confront them locally.

The Council also discussed a presentation on the results of inspections and criminal and traffic field operations, and the general indicators and existing challenges they included. His Excellency directed the need to strengthen coordination with the concerned authorities and prepare comprehensive statistics that support field work and its development.

The Council also reviewed the results of using smart services and police applications, and the progress they achieved in receiving reports electronically, as His Excellency stressed the importance of continuing to work on achieving the approved targets and developing services in a way that enhances customers’ confidence and quality of performance.

The Council discussed road safety indicators and the results of reports related to fatal accidents, stressing the importance of intensifying preventive efforts and traffic patrols in locations that witness repeated accidents.

The Council reviewed the annual report of the Criminal Risk Committee, and the general analyzes it contained of disturbing and criminal crimes, where His Excellency directed the importance of coordination with the competent authorities to study the causes and address them, and prepare supportive reports for decision makers.

The meeting also discussed the efforts made in the field of combating money laundering crimes, and reviewed a comprehensive presentation of the work stages and procedures followed in cooperation with the judicial authorities, stressing the importance of continuing institutional integration and enhancing the effectiveness of the national system in this field.
