Fixing interest rates enhances the dollar’s gains against the euro and the yen

New York, January 28 / WAM / The US currency maintained its gains against the euro and the yen today after the Council’s decision
The Federal Reserve (the US central bank) keeps interest rates unchanged.
The euro fell 1 percent against the dollar to $1.19163, and the US currency rose 1.1 percent against the yen to record 153.90 yen.
This morning, the dollar approached its lowest level in four years against a basket of other major currencies before rebounding higher on the impact of fixing the interest rate. Leave
