Hamdan bin Mohammed meets with a number of UAE students studying in Kuwait and the first generation of graduates

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, in the presence of Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al Salem Al Sabah, Minister of Defense of the sisterly State of Kuwait, met with a number of UAE students studying in Kuwaiti universities and institutes, and the first Emirati generation who received their education and graduated in educational institutions in the State of Kuwait, within the framework of celebrating the depth of the historical and fraternal relations that bring together the two brotherly countries and peoples.
This came within the work of the Emirati-Kuwait Media Forum, which was held today at the Museum of the Future in Dubai, as part of the activities of the “UAE and Kuwait… Brothers Forever” week, which runs from January 29 until February 4, 2026 in all the emirates of the country. The forum includes strategic dialogues with prominent diplomatic, cultural and sports figures, to shed light on the prospects for bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, and to recall the historical, cultural and humanitarian milestones that brought the two peoples together through years of mutual exchange and cooperation.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and the Kuwaiti Minister of Defense, exchanged friendly conversations with the attendees, and listened to the most important milestones during their period of study in the State of Kuwait, and the role of this educational experience in consolidating scientific and humanitarian values that contributed to refining their personalities and practical capabilities.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum appreciated the pivotal role played by Kuwaiti educational institutions in embracing Emirati students and providing them with education and knowledge over the decades, stressing that the joint educational experience formed a solid bridge for human and cultural communication, and contributed to the preparation of national cadres who had an active role in the development process in the UAE.
His Highness said, “The relations between the Emirates and Kuwait are deep-rooted relations created by history, and strengthened by cooperation in building humanity before the structure. Education was and remains one of the most prominent bridges of this relationship, which we cherish and are keen to develop in a way that serves the future of our generations and enhances the process of progress and prosperity in the two countries.”
His Highness stressed that the shared history and one vision that brings together the two brotherly countries for building the future enhances opportunities to expand cooperation in the fields of education, scientific research and human capacity building, in line with the aspirations of sustainable development in the UAE and the sisterly State of Kuwait.
For their part, the attendees expressed their great happiness at meeting His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al Salem Al Sabah, stressing the depth of the fraternal and historical relations that link the UAE with the State of Kuwait.
The Emirati-Kuwaiti Media Forum constitutes a comprehensive platform for reviewing educational, media, cultural and sports relations between the two countries, and honoring the pioneers who contributed to building these ties from their beginnings.
