The United Nations faces the risk of financial collapse… and an urgent message from Guterres
The Secretary-General of the United Nations warned stressed that the international organization faces the danger of is imminent, in an email circulated to member states.
Guterres called on countries to fully and without delay pay their dues or to deeply review financial regulations in order to avoid an imminent financial collapse.
Expanding the scope of aid programs
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs made it clear that more than 18,000 people urgently need medical evacuation for treatment outside the Gaza.
The World Health Organization facilitated the evacuation of 24 children from Gaza to Jordan, and 377 patients were evacuated since the ceasefire last October 2025.
The office indicated that the scope of cash assistance programs has been expanded to help families improve food consumption, but the challenges are still great.
