The UAE participates in the second Arab-Indian energy dialogue

Goa, 31 January / WAM / The UAE participated in the Second Arab-Indian Energy Dialogue, which was held in the city of Goa in the Republic of India, within the framework of strengthening strategic cooperation in the energy sector between the Republic of India and the countries of the League of Arab States, and discussing opportunities to develop existing partnerships in a way that supports common interests.

The dialogue witnessed high-level discussions with the participation of ministers, officials and experts, focusing on ways to deepen bilateral and multilateral cooperation and exploring new horizons for future cooperation in various fields of energy.

In turn, His Excellency Eng. Ahmed Al Kaabi, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure for the Electricity, Water and Future Energy Sector, during his participation, highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation in the fields of traditional and clean energy, developing oil and gas trade, and supporting long-term commercial partnerships, in a way that contributes to enhancing energy security and sustainability of supplies in regional and international markets.

Al Kaabi pointed out the UAE’s interest in expanding cooperation in the fields of renewable energy and clean technologies, supporting the integration of electrical networks, and developing manufacturing chains for renewable energy components, in addition to encouraging investment in the growing renewable energy sector in the Republic of India.

He stressed the UAE’s firm commitment to supporting international partnerships that enhance energy security, support economic diversification, and contribute to accelerating the transition towards more sustainable and flexible energy systems, in a way that serves the common interests of the UAE, the Republic of India and the Arab countries.

The UAE’s participation addressed the importance of exchanging technical expertise and advisory services, building institutional capabilities, and enhancing the transfer of knowledge and training, in a way that supports the development of national competencies and raises the energy sector’s readiness for the requirements of the future.
