The Head of State and the King of Jordan discuss by phone the relations of the two countries and developments in the region

Abu Dhabi, 2nd February / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, discussed during a phone call today with his brother, His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, King of the sisterly Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the fraternal relations between the two countries and joint work to strengthen them and expand their horizons for the good of their peoples.

During the call, the two sides also reviewed a number of regional and international issues of common concern, and developments in the region, and exchanged views on them. In this context, His Highness the President and His Majesty the King of Jordan stressed the importance of moving forward with the implementation of a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, and allowing sufficient humanitarian aid to enter the Strip without obstacles to alleviate the suffering of its residents. In addition to working to find a path to just and comprehensive peace in the region based on the “two-state solution” to ensure regional peace and stability.

The two sides stressed the importance of working to enhance stability and peace in the region and settle disputes there through dialogue and diplomatic methods for the benefit of all its peoples.
