158 million passengers at the country’s airports during 2025

The Director General of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Saif Al Suwaidi, revealed that passenger traffic through UAE airports reached 158 million passengers during the past year.

He told “Emirates Today”, on the sidelines of the World Government Summit 2025, that the volume of air freight through the country’s airports rose to 5.8 million tons.

He stated that the aviation sector in the UAE recorded a strong performance during the year 2025, adding: Last year, we achieved more than one million air movements in our airspace.

He continued: These are important numbers and we expect the sector to continue achieving strong performance, noting that through the aviation network of our national airlines, we reach more than 350 cities around the world.
