We must conclude a “new and improved” nuclear treaty with Russia

US President Donald Trump said in a post on social media platforms that Washington should conclude a “new, improved and modernized treaty” with Russia instead of extending the New START nuclear arms control treaty.
Today, the treaty ended.
The end of the treaty will effectively lift the last remaining restrictions on the world’s two largest nuclear arsenals for the first time in more than half a century.
