“Dubai Roads” opens a bridge at the intersection of Al Qudra Street with Arabian Ranches and “Dubai Studios”

Today, Sunday, the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai opened a 600-metre-long, four-lane bridge at the intersection of Al Qudra Street with the street linking Arabian Ranches and Dubai Studio City, as part of the project to develop the main intersections on Al Qudra Street, extending from its intersection with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, passing through Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street, and Emirates Road, all the way to Al Qudra Street.
The completed bridge will contribute to improving the flow of traffic on Al Qudra Street, and on the street linking Arabian Ranches and Dubai Studio City, increasing the capacity by 191%, as it will increase from 6,600 vehicles per hour to 19,200 vehicles per hour, and reducing the waiting time at the intersection by 55%, as it will decrease from 113 seconds to 52 seconds.
On February 15, the authority will open the northern (left) bridge, at the intersection of Al Qudra Street and Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street. The length of the bridge is 700 meters with a capacity of two lanes in each direction, until work is completed in the southern (right) bridge. The bridge serves traffic on Al Qudra Street in the direction to Al Qudra City, and in the direction of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Street.
