"Sharjah" exceeds "North gas" and"Al-Fuhais" Undefeated in the basket "Ladies Arab 2026"
Sharjah, 8 February / WAM / The Sharjah Women’s Sports Team achieved a well-deserved victory over Iraq’s North Gas by a margin of 17 points with a score of (79-62) in a match that brought them together for the fifth round of basketball competitions within the Arab Women’s Club Games currently being held in the Emirate of Sharjah and organized by the Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation until February 12 of this year.
The round also witnessed the Jordanian Shabab Al-Fuheis continuing its campaign to successfully defend its title after achieving its fourth victory in a row without any loss after defeating Bahrain’s Al-Hala with a score of (81-52), while Al-Amal of Tunisia continued its strong performances by defeating Khor Fakkan Women’s Sports Club with a score of (92-68).
With four consecutive victories, Al-Fuhais of Jordan confirmed its right to top the standings with a full score, maintaining its unbeaten record with eight points, which is the same balance that Sharjah Women’s Sports Club has. However, the latter played more matches and suffered one loss, which came to Al-Fuhais in the third round.
Al-Amal of Tunisia occupies third place with seven points, one point ahead of the Iraqi North Gas, Al-Fatat Al-Kuwaiti, and Khorfakkan Sports Club for Women, who shared fourth place, but with a game more for “Khor Fakkan.” On the other hand, the Bahraini case’s loss kept the team in last place with four points.
