المملكة: Urgent: Al-Majma’a calculations for Shaaban 29: The Ramadan crescent sets two minutes after the sun


The Majma’ah University Astronomical Observatory in Hotat Sudair announced its readiness to monitor the crescent Central conjunction will occur astronomically at 03:03 pm Riyadh time on the 29th of Shaban, according to the Umm al-Qura calendar.

The calculations detailed the dates of sunset, as the sun sets on Mecca at 6:19 pm, followed by the crescent at 6:23 pm, while at the observatory site the sun sets at 5:52 pm (“257 degrees”).

The data indicated that the crescent at the observation site will set at 5:54 pm (“256 degrees”), which means it is two minutes behind the sun, at an altitude of 0.5 degrees, and an elongation of 1.61 degrees.
