This absence is not unusual in Tajikistan, where the activities of the 73-year-old president receive almost daily coverage from the press.

The authorities tried to dispel doubts, as they announced on Wednesday that the president will participate in several activities “in the coming days,” although his schedule of activities is usually not published in advance.

The last video in which the president appeared dates back to January 28, when he was in a meeting with the leaders of the security services.
