Mansour bin Zayed approves the strategy and future directions of the Founder’s Office

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State, Deputy Prime Minister, Chief of the Presidential Cabinet, approved the strategic plan for the Founder’s Office, and the directions and initiatives it includes aimed at preserving, documenting and activating the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, in a way that keeps pace with national priorities and achieves a qualitative leap in transforming the thought and values of the Founding Father into a source of inspiration for emerging generations and a model of leadership and belonging. And introducing the founding father’s achievements locally and globally.
This came during the presentation attended by Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Head of the Founder’s Office, and a number of officials.
The Director General of the Founder’s Office, Reem Yousef Al-Shammari, reviewed the most important milestones that the office went through as a result of the Year of Zayed initiative in 2018.
His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan listened to an explanation about the office’s role in enriching knowledge of Sheikh Zayed’s biography, building partnerships, and providing support to local entities, which comes within its competencies, which include developing cognitive and educational content related to Sheikh Zayed’s values and approach, setting controls governing the use of his name and images, and approving publications related to his biography, in addition to coordinating with government and private agencies to collect, document, and archive relevant materials, and disseminate his cultural legacy locally and regionally. And internationally.
His Highness was briefed on the features of the strategic plan of the Founder’s Office, which is the basis for enabling the office to develop its tools, focus on target segments, and expand partnerships within the national system, ensuring that Sheikh Zayed’s legacy is presented in contemporary ways based on interaction, integration, and the sustainability of knowledge for current and future generations.
His Highness stressed that loyalty to Sheikh Zayed, may God rest his soul, is not limited to remembering his achievements, but rather constitutes a remembrance of a deep-rooted legacy that strengthens our adherence to our identity and supports our ability to move steadily towards the future.
His Highness said: “Sheikh Zayed, may God have mercy on him, was a merciful father and a wise leader, and the balance of his local, regional and global achievements and his inspiring leadership thought make him one of the greatest leaders in modern history, and his visions and principles will remain among the most important references and foundations for anticipating the future, facing challenges and seizing opportunities.”
His Highness praised the efforts made over the past years and the qualitative initiatives that included them, directing them to continue adopting innovative strategies that keep pace with current developments and contribute to presenting the legacy of Sheikh Zayed, may God have mercy on him, in a modern manner that reflects the distinguished cultural and knowledge status of the UAE, and contributes to delivering the message to all segments of society, especially the emerging generations.
The presentation included priority strategic initiatives led by the office, most notably the work to document and approve the official narrative of Sheikh Zayed, develop knowledge and archival platforms, and launch initiatives that contribute to the sustainability of the legacy and transform it from a documentary material into a living value whose impact extends across various sectors.
Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan affirmed the Founder’s Office’s firm commitment to transforming the legacy and approach of the late Sheikh Zayed, may God rest his soul, into a source of knowledge and a beacon of thought, especially for emerging generations, under a wise leadership inspired by Zayed’s values ​​and approach, and moving them forward to be a beacon for the country’s sustainable development process and its future directions.
For her part, Reem Al-Shammari stressed that the strategic objectives of the office are based on highlighting the pivotal role of Sheikh Zayed in establishing and building the UAE, documenting his achievements, instilling his human values ​​and consolidating national belonging, ensuring the transfer of this legacy to generations in a modern, sustainable manner.
She explained that the strategic directions of the Founder’s Office represent a direct extension of Sheikh Zayed’s approach, and stressed that the adopted strategy will continue to create experiences that present Sheikh Zayed’s legacy in an inspiring way, while its initiatives constitute an innovative system that guarantees the sustainability of the legacy and the cultural and human values ​​it carries, and that the Founder’s Office’s commitment to documenting and approving the official narrative of Sheikh Zayed is considered essential for activating his legacy across various sectors.
