Union Cooperative reduces the prices of 3,000 commodities during Ramadan

Union Coop announced discounts on 3,000 commodities, at rates of up to 60%, as part of its initiatives for the upcoming month of Ramadan.

The CEO of the cooperative, Mohammed Al-Hashemi, said during a press conference yesterday that “the discount campaigns for Ramadan will include basic food commodities such as: rice, oils, flour, sugar, poultry, eggs, dates, fresh and frozen products, in addition to various consumer goods,” pointing out that “the offers that will be launched on the occasion of the approaching month of Ramadan will focus on providing Ramadan supplies at competitive prices in all branches of the cooperative, and through its store.” electronic, and its smart application.

He added: “The cooperative will fix the prices of about 160 basic consumer goods, to ensure price stability throughout the month of fasting,” noting that the Ramadan campaigns come within the “Year of the Family” initiative.

Al-Hashemi stated that the cooperative launched a special Ramadan campaign under the title “More Ramadan Blessings on Your Table,” which will continue until next March 23. He explained that “the mechanism of participation in the campaign is through shopping for 150 dirhams from the branches or online store, and scanning the (Tamayoz) account through the cooperative’s application, so that the customer is automatically entered into the weekly and monthly draws, which include a weekly draw for 10 winners, each of whom receives a 1,000 dirhams in the digital wallet, and a monthly draw for two winners with two cars.”

He stressed that “the cooperative has a role in supporting food security and local products, through cooperation with more than 33 local farms, including traditional, organic and hydroponic farms, in addition to a global supply network to provide fresh vegetables and fruits throughout the month of Ramadan,” stressing that “work is currently underway to enhance the stock of products in all branches of the cooperative.”

Al-Hashemi confirmed to Emirates Today, on the sidelines of the conference, that “the cooperative intends to continue the initiative to stabilize commodity prices until the end of this year,” and revealed that the cooperative has plans to expand in different regions in Dubai during the coming periods, pointing out that the “cooperative” worked to expand two of its outlets in Dubai recently.
