Winners "Hope Makers 2026" They confirm: The award is a major supporter of expanding humanitarian initiatives

DUBAI, 15th February, 2026 (WAM) – The winners of the “Hope Makers 2026” award affirmed their intention to continue expanding their humanitarian initiatives and enhancing their impact, noting that the honor represents an incentive to redouble their efforts, and stressing that the award has established its presence as a leading Arab platform for celebrating inspiring humanitarian models, and is a major supporter for empowering their initiatives and expanding the scope of their beneficiaries.
This came in statements on the sidelines of the closing ceremony of the sixth session of the “Hope Makers” initiative, under the patronage of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him” in Dubai at the Coca-Cola Arena.
Fawzia Mahmoudi from the Kingdom of Morocco was crowned “The First Hope Maker in the Arab World” for the year 2026, and Hind Al-Hajri from the State of Kuwait and Abdel-Rahman Al-Rais from Morocco also won the award in recognition of their community contributions.
Fawzia Mahmoudi confirmed that her humanitarian journey extended for nearly 26 years, during which she restored smiles and hope to more than 19,000 children suffering from “hare lip” in Morocco, noting the launch of a humanitarian surgical campaign to correct congenital facial deformities that benefited more than 100 children and young women.
She explained that the award she received will be completely directed to support medical training programs with the aim of raising the efficiency of surgical staff and expanding the scope of beneficiaries of therapeutic services, noting that the amount will be allocated to training new doctors and qualifying them according to the highest quality standards.
She added that the step will contribute to increasing the number of qualified surgeons and expanding the base of beneficiaries of therapeutic programs, noting that the number of beneficiaries of surgical services has reached about 14,000 beneficiaries, while the number of beneficiaries in the field of dental surgery has exceeded 160,000 beneficiaries, calling for initiative in charitable works, stressing that whoever possesses determination and sincere intentions is able to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
Hind Al-Hajri confirmed that obtaining the title was an additional motivation to accelerate the implementation of sustainable projects and expand the scope of beneficiaries of the initiatives she leads, noting that the feeling that accompanied this achievement was a mixture of happiness, pride and gratitude.
She explained that their projects are mainly based on sustainability, but receiving the award will contribute to accelerating the pace of work and enabling them to include a larger number of needy groups in their programs and community initiatives.
Regarding her experience in exile, she said that this stage carried many sacrifices and challenges, pointing out the presence of cultural differences and daily living difficulties that begin with the language barrier, customs and traditions, and do not end with limited health support or the difficulty of obtaining some basic needs, stressing that her presence alongside children has become the main focus of her life.
She added that “Fatima House” continues to fulfill its humanitarian mission, as it succeeded in sponsoring 48 children, six of whom went to school, while more than eight children joined vocational training centers, noting the existence of a network of relationships with training bodies to qualify them for the labor market.
She confirmed that they have entered into partnerships with an international hotel chain to provide employment opportunities for children after their rehabilitation, explaining that the primary goal is to ensure that the child does not return to the street after leaving the orphanage, by providing integrated financial, family and educational support to become an active individual in society.
She expressed her thanks to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Emirate of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates for their initiatives that highlight inspiring humanitarian models.
In turn, Abdul Rahman Al-Raes stressed that the “Surour” initiative represents hope for widowed women because of the direct positive impact it has on their lives and the lives of their children, noting that the initiative contributes to alleviating the living burdens on this group by taking care of annual expenses and paying off debts.
He explained that his initiative started from his passion for creating content and turned into humanitarian work serving widowed women in the countryside who lack support and support, pointing out that the beneficiaries of his initiatives exceeded 20 thousand people.
He added that the humanitarian impact achieved by the initiative is clearly visible in the faces of the women who benefit, especially those who bear the responsibility of supporting orphans, stressing that the support is not limited to the financial aspect, but rather extends to spreading hope and enhancing family stability.
He pointed out that the calls of the beneficiary widows represent the greatest motivation for continuing efforts, stressing his intention to reach more widows and families in need and renew hope and stability for them.
