Sharjah Club is champion of the Sharjah Open Judo Championship

Sharjah, February 16 / WAM / Sharjah Sports Club was crowned champion of the Sharjah Open Judo Championship and won the first place cup in the overall total and the first place cup for the citizens category in the tournament hosted by the Sharjah Club gym in Al Hazana over the past two days.

In the tournament, in which 220 players from 9 clubs across the country participated, the Sharjah Cubs performed at high levels and fought battles that tipped their balance and climbed the podium. The junior category won 10 colored medals, including 6 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 3 bronze medals, while the cubs category won 9 various medals, including 3 silver medals and 6 bronze medals.

The Technical Committee of the Emirates Judo Federation chose four players from the Sharjah Club to join the ranks of our national judo team for the junior category, and they are: Hamdan Al Mazmi, Mubarak Al Yasi, Abdul Khaleq Dhahir, and Saqr Badr Al Otaibi.

The tournament was attended and the winners were crowned by Engineer Suleiman Abdul Rahman Al-Hajri, member of the Board of Directors of Sharjah Sports Club, head of the Individual Games Department, and Mohammed Jassim, member of the Judo Federation and Secretary-General.
