Dwayne Johnson gets the audience excited for a third part of “Jumanji”
American star Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) described his fellow star Danny DeVito as a “dear friend,” through a photo he posted on his official Instagram account, indirectly exciting the audience for the third part of the movie “Jumanji,” and expressing his happiness at working with DeVito, after the filming of the film’s scenes had finished.

“The Rock” shared with his fans, via “Instagram”, exclusive pictures from behind the scenes of work, which brought him together with his colleagues: Danny DeVito and Kevin Hart, and in one of them he appeared kissing DeVito’s head. “This is the official conclusion of Jumanji with the one and only, Danny DeVito,” Johnson wrote. “Working with you and learning from you has been an absolute honor, and considering you a friend of mine will always be a privilege.”
The third part of the movie “Jumanji” is expected to be shown during the Christmas season next December, as director Jake Kasdan returns to direct the third part, after his great success in the previous two parts: “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” and “Jumanji: The Next Level,” and Danny DeVito returns to play the character of “Eddie Gilpin,” the smart and funny grandfather of “Spencer.”
Many stars participate with “The Rock” in the third part, most notably: Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, Rhys Darby, Marin Hinkle, Lamorne Morris, and Bebe Neuwirth, and the film is written by the quartet: Chris McKenna, Eric Sommers, Scott Rosenberg, and Jeff Pinkner.

The events of the movie “Jumanji” take place in the jungle world, and it is a 3D movie, with action and adventure scenes, and relies on comedy. The third part is expected to carry a different idea from the previous parts, as this time it is possible that the avatars will enter the real world, instead of immersing themselves inside the game.
Dwayne Johnson had achieved remarkable success in his latest film, “The Smashing Machine,” in which he portrayed the character of “Mark Kerr” (UFC fighter and mixed martial arts pioneer). He explained when the film was shown, in October 2025, that he was based on harsh memories from his family life, to give the role a deep emotional sincerity that goes beyond the limits of traditional acting.
“The Rock” revealed that the scene of collapse in the movie “The Smashing Machine” is based on his presence in the hospital after suffering an overdose, where his friend “Mark Coleman” visits him, trying to persuade him to enter a rehabilitation center. This scene is the moment of the first collapse, in which he appears weak in front of another person, after a series of attempts at denial and evasion, which made it one of the most psychologically demanding scenes for Dwayne Johnson.
