The King of Denmark stands in solidarity with Greenland on an official visit

Trump’s threats to control the vast, mineral-rich Antarctic island, even if necessary, led to tension in relations between Washington and Denmark, a member of the European Union and NATO.

The Danish Royal Palace announced this visit in late January, when King Frederik, 57 years old, expressed his solidarity with the island, which has a population of 57,000 people.
