The National Museum launches the “Memory of the House” program to celebrate Founding Day and Ramadan


The National Museum at the King Abdulaziz Historical Center launches the “Memory of Home” program, to celebrate On the founding day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan, during the period from February 19 to March 6, 2026, daily from ten in the evening until one in the morning.

The program combines the fragrance of heritage with the spirit of Direct interactionwith the audience, through exhibits inspired by the ancient past, interesting stories, and food experiences, in addition to a series of live activities designed for different age groups. The program transforms the National Museum to allow visitors to have shared cultural experiences that connect the past with the present.

Program axes

The program is divided into two main axes: The first is «Foundation Day” during the period from February 19 to 22, and focuses on reviving the legacy of the first Saudi state, and evoking the values ​​that constitute the Kingdom’s identity over the past three centuries. The second theme, “Ramadan Nights,” extends from February 19 to March 6, and evokes the atmosphere of the Holy Month through cultural programs that enhance social communication and authentic heritage.

Diverse experiences and events

The program gives its visitors the opportunity to explore a variety of experiences, including special photography angles and multiple interactive activities. Among them are “Keys to the House”, which is an interactive map, and “Al-Ajaweed Shop”, which is inspired by the atmosphere of the traditional Saudi market, in addition to interactive games in the outdoor courtyards.

It also includes “In Our Museum Stories”, which is a narrative activity based on puzzles inspired by the museum’s holdings, “Ezz Fashions” as an interactive display of traditional Saudi fashions, and “Evidence of the House” as a matching game linking cultural symbols and vocabulary of daily life in the Kingdom, to In addition to the shadow theater, which presents “In Their Footsteps,” which embodies historical figures through storytelling and qualitative discoveries, telling tales of the Kingdom’s heritage.

The program comes in the context of celebrating the 299th anniversary of the founding of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, giving visitors the opportunity to contemplate the historical roots of the state. The Saudi National Museum also continues to establish its presence as a vital cultural center, making Saudi history closer and more attractive to today’s audience.
