The Red Crescent provides 50 million dirhams to support the “Umm Al Emarat Endowment for Orphans”

Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, the Authority provided 50 million dirhams to support the “Mother of the Emirates Endowment for Orphans” campaign launched by the Endowments and Minors’ Funds Management Authority – Abu Dhabi Endowments, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, in a step that consolidates the culture of giving whose foundations were laid by the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, and strengthens the UAE’s leadership in the field of humanitarian work globally.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan said: “We directed the Red Crescent Authority to support the ‘Mother of the Emirates Endowment for Orphans’ initiative, out of our belief that caring for an orphan is a nation’s responsibility, and a humanitarian message that knows no borders.”

His Highness added: “Giving in the Emirates is a deeply rooted approach, and giving is a solid culture that we derive from the legacy of Zayed, and with it we renew the pledge that our country will remain a beacon for humanity and a benevolent hand extended to every human being.”

His Highness stressed that the “Mother of the Emirates Endowment for Orphans” embodies the established values ​​​​established by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates”, President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation, which are represented in compassion, preserving dignity and promoting community cohesion.

His Highness said that the UAE continues, based on the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, to establish a culture of sustainable giving, ensuring the provision of opportunities for future generations, and that this endowment is an affirmation of our collective responsibility towards caring for orphans in the country, and investing in their education, health and empowerment, in a way that provides them with the elements of a decent life, and contributes to strengthening the national development process.

His Highness continued, “This contribution embodies the UAE Red Crescent’s commitment to supporting national initiatives concerned with family and childhood, and strengthening community partnership in supporting the most needy groups, in a way that translates the values ​​of solidarity and compassion that characterize the UAE society.”
