Dubai Police offers 8 specialized job vacancies for citizens

The Dubai Police General Command announced the opening of applications for 8 specialized positions for citizens of the United Arab Emirates, as part of its strategy aimed at enhancing security readiness and supplying its system with qualified national competencies. Job vacancies include: a protection officer, an investigation officer, a penal institution security officer, a riot control officer, a raid officer, a communications officer, a patrol officer, and an aviation security inspector.
Brigadier Rashid Nasser Rashid Abdullah, Director of the General Department of Human Resources, confirmed that offering these specialized jobs comes within the framework of the vision of the Dubai Police General Command, which aims to invest in national competencies and enable the people of the nation to contribute effectively to the process of security and stability. He explained that the Dubai Police continues to develop its human system in line with its institutional strategy based on leadership, innovation, and proactiveness in security work.
He pointed out that attracting qualified national elements represents a fundamental pillar in achieving the goals of the Dubai Police strategic plan, and that these jobs are not just job opportunities, but promising career paths that allow Emirati youth to contribute effectively to protecting society and preserving its gains, stressing the Dubai Police’s commitment to applying the highest standards in the selection and appointment processes to ensure attracting the best national talents.
Terms and standards
For his part, Colonel Hamad bin Dafoos, Director of the Selection and Employment Department, explained that the application and selection process will be subject to a precise system of standards and procedures that ensure fairness and transparency in attracting applicants. He stated that the basic conditions include that the applicant must be a citizen of the UAE, not be less than 18 years old, and not less than 165 cm tall, in accordance with the physical fitness requirements for the jobs offered.
He pointed out that applicants will undergo a series of smart tests that measure mental and skill capabilities, in addition to personal interviews that focus on behavioral and disciplinary aspects, as well as comprehensive medical examinations to ensure their health and physical readiness to perform field tasks.
He stressed that among the essential conditions are also good conduct and behaviour, and that the applicant must not have been convicted of any crime against honor or trust, and must not have previously been dismissed or expelled from any security, military or civilian body, in order to maintain standards of institutional integrity. He concluded his speech by emphasizing that the administration seeks to attract elements who possess the spirit of responsibility and belonging, and are able to represent Dubai Police in an honorable manner that reflects its standing locally and internationally.
