Under the chairmanship of Mansour bin Zayed, the Ministerial Development Council reviews developments in the implementation of government policies and programmes

ABU DHABI, 23 February, 2017 (WAM) – His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, and Head of the Presidential Court, chaired the meeting of the Ministerial Council for Development, which was held at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi. During the meeting, the Council reviewed developments in the implementation of a number of government policies and programs, and discussed proposed projects to enhance work efficiency in various sectors in the country.

The meeting’s agenda included discussing proposals submitted by ministries and federal agencies regarding national policies and strategies in the field of health care and nutrition, in addition to reviewing developments in the implementation of government initiatives in the sectors of economic integration, cultural and creative industries, and enhancing the participation of national cadres in regional and international organizations.

Regarding government affairs, the Council discussed a number of draft federal legislation proposed to regulate the provision of the services of the Ministry of Education, the services of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, in addition to issuing a number of regulatory decisions related to family businesses and the tax system in the country.
