"Energy and infrastructure" It implements vital federal projects that enhance the quality of life and support the country’s competitiveness

Abu Dhabi, February 24 / WAM / The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure is supervising the implementation of vital federal projects in the roads, buildings and services sectors, including the development of Emirates Road, the establishment of the Dibba Al Fujairah Court and Prosecution, and the public health building for the Dibba Al Hisn Health Centre, in addition to dam and water canal projects in the Eastern Region, within an integrated system that enhances efficiency and sustainability.

These projects come within the framework of developing the federal infrastructure, raising its readiness to support economic and population growth, and consolidating the quality of life, in line with the state’s vision and the directions of its wise leadership.

His Excellency Engineer Mohammed Al Mansouri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure for Infrastructure and Transport Affairs, inspected the progress of work in a number of federal projects, with the aim of ensuring compliance with the approved time programs and accelerating the pace of implementation in accordance with the highest approved standards.

Among the vital projects supervised by the Ministry is developing and raising the efficiency of Emirates Road, which is one of the most prominent vital projects within the federal road network, because of its pivotal role in supporting traffic movement, enhancing the flow of transportation, and raising the efficiency of the movement of goods and services. It includes the development of Interchange No. (7) through the construction of six directional bridges with a total length of 12.6 kilometers, and a capacity of up to 13,200 vehicles per hour, in addition to the construction of collector roads with a length of 3.4 kilometers, while the cost of the project is estimated at about 750 million dirhams, and its implementation began in September 2025 with an implementation period extending for two years, and aims to reduce travel time by up to 45% and reduce traffic congestion.

The project also includes expanding Emirates Road from three to five lanes in each direction over a length of 25 km, raising the road’s capacity to about 9,000 vehicles per hour, an increase of up to 65%.

The project to establish and complete the Dibba Al-Fujairah Court and Prosecution comes within the framework of developing the judicial infrastructure and improving the quality of services provided, in accordance with the best practices and approved standards, and embodies the state’s trends in developing modern and sustainable government buildings, through the application of smart systems that contribute to raising the efficiency of energy and water consumption, reducing the environmental impact, and improving operating efficiency, in a way that enhances the quality of services and the customer experience.

The Dibba Al Hisn Health Center Public Health Building project also falls within the efforts to support and develop federal health facilities, and enhance their readiness to provide integrated health services that meet the needs of the community.

The project adopts smart solutions and modern digital technologies that contribute to improving the quality of the indoor environment, raising the efficiency of energy and water consumption, and reducing carbon emissions, reflecting national trends towards sustainable and highly efficient health facilities.

The projects also include a number of dams and water canals in the Eastern Region, which were implemented using local materials, which contributed to reducing the environmental impact, reducing the carbon footprint, and raising the efficiency of using local resources by about 70%.

These projects adopted natural and sustainable drainage solutions that reduce operation and maintenance requirements, and support the long-term sustainability of water resources.

On this occasion, His Excellency Engineer Mohammed Al Mansouri stressed that the infrastructure projects implemented by the Ministry represent an essential pillar in supporting the country’s competitiveness and consolidating the readiness of the federal infrastructure for the requirements of the future, indicating that the Ministry works according to a comprehensive vision based on proactive planning and adopting the highest international standards in design and implementation.
