Dubai Customs discusses initiative partners "Path 33" Ways to enhance employment in the logistics sector

Dubai, February 25 / WAM / Dubai Customs held a coordination meeting with the strategic partners of the “Path 33” initiative for the year 2026, directed at the private logistics sector, in the presence of a representative of the Nafs Council and members of the Nafs Youth Council, following the opening of registration for companies to participate in the second batch of the initiative for the current year.

A number of major international companies in the logistics and supply chain sector participated in the meeting, including Aramex, FedEx, UPS, CMA CGM, Maersk, and DHL, in a clear confirmation of the strength of the partnership between the government and private sectors to support Emiratisation and enhance the sustainability of the labor market.

In his speech during the meeting, Khamis Al Muhairi, Director of Human Resources Department at Dubai Customs, stressed pride in the strategic partnership with major international companies in the logistics services and supply chain sector, which represents a pioneering model of cooperation between the government and private sectors.

He said that supporting Emiratisation and empowering national competencies in this vital sector is a fundamental priority for us, and through this initiative we are working to provide quality opportunities that contribute to building national cadres capable of leading the future of the logistics sector in Dubai.

He added that the “Path 33” program has witnessed, during the last period, remarkable progress and important successes in linking national competencies with distinguished job opportunities, and he looks forward to continuing this momentum in cooperation with partners to enhance the sustainability of the labor market and achieve Dubai’s goals in this field.

During the meeting, the developments of the initiative and what was accomplished during the past period were reviewed, including the successes achieved in linking national competencies with specific job opportunities in the logistics sector.

The attendees also discussed the “Path 33” program plan for the year 2026, which included the proposed time frame for implementation, operational and organizational requirements for the next phase, in addition to preparations for holding a job fair supporting the initiative’s outcomes, aiming to facilitate the meeting of job seekers with participating entities.

The meeting dealt with reviewing and confirming the job vacancies currently available and expected in the future with the partners, in a way that enhances the initiative’s readiness to meet the needs of the labor market, in addition to discussing the partners’ views and recommendations on ways to enhance the effectiveness of the initiative and raise its impact, and put forward development proposals that contribute to improving the experience of the beneficiaries and increasing opportunities for sustainable employment.

The meeting concluded by agreeing on the next executive steps, to ensure accelerating the pace of work and achieving the goals of “Path 33” in empowering national competencies, and consolidating Dubai’s position as a leading global center in the logistics services and supply chain sector.
