The UAE and the Republic of Korea review developments in the special strategic partnership

In Abu Dhabi, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, met today with the Head of the Secretariat of the Presidential Office of the Republic of Korea and the Special Presidential Envoy to the UAE, Kang Hoon-sik.
During the meeting, the two sides praised the strength of the “special strategic partnership” between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Korea, stressing the keenness of the leadership of the two countries to strengthen bilateral relations and expand the horizons of cooperation in a way that serves the interests of the two countries and the two friendly peoples.
The two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation in a number of fields, including artificial intelligence and advanced technology, peaceful nuclear energy, space, and defense technology, in addition to culture and exchange between peoples, reflecting the depth and diversity of bilateral relations between the two countries.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the EDGE Group and the Advanced Technology Research Council signed two memorandums of understanding with the Defense Procurement Management Program in the Republic of Korea, with the aim of enhancing cooperation in defense industries and advanced technology research.
The meeting was attended by Advisor to His Highness the President of the State for Strategic Research and Advanced Technology, Chairman of the Board of Directors of EDGE Group, Faisal Al Bannai, and the UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, Abdullah Saif Al Nuaimi, along with a number of senior officials from both sides.
