Dubai Industrial City attracts new investment in ready-mixed concrete

Dubai Industrial City has strengthened its position as a leading destination for the manufacturing and building materials sector, by attracting the Al Emirates Ready Mix Concrete Company factory, the first in Dubai, in a step that reflects growing confidence in the integrated industrial system provided by this destination, affiliated with the TECOM Group.

Als Emirates Ready Mix, which specializes in producing and supplying high-quality ready-mixed concrete in the UAE and the largest of its kind in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, announced the conclusion of an agreement with Dubai Industrial City to establish its new factory, the first in Dubai on a total area of ​​more than 160,000 square feet, stressing that establishing this factory in Dubai Industrial City will contribute to expanding the scope of the company’s operations across the region.

The foundation stone laying ceremony was attended by the Executive Vice President of TECOM Group – Industrial Sector on behalf of Dubai Industrial City, Saud Abu Al Shawareb, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bin Fadel Holding Company, Saif Mubarak Fadel Al Mazrouei, and the CEO of the Building Materials Department at Als Emirates Ready Mix Company, Peter Selis.

The new factory will include modern administrative and operational facilities, in addition to advanced concrete mixing stations that reduce energy consumption, while operations at the factory are scheduled to begin during the third quarter of 2026, coinciding with the scheduled date for the completion of construction work. The factory will have the capacity to produce ready-mixed concrete at a rate of up to 400 cubic meters per hour.

Executive Vice President of TECOM Group – Industrial Sector, Saud Abu Al Shawareb, stressed that strengthening the building materials sector plays a prominent role in supporting the UAE’s ambitious goals to advance the industrial and construction sectors.

He said: “We are pleased that Al Emirates Ready Mix Concrete Company is taking the initiative to expand its operations nationwide through its new factory in Dubai Industrial City, which will contribute to enhancing national capabilities to produce ready-mixed concrete with the highest quality standards and support sustainable construction practices at the region level, in line with the strategic objectives of the (300 billion project), the (Make in the Emirates) initiative, and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.”

For his part, the CEO of the Building Materials Department at Als Emirates Ready Mix Company, Peter Selis, indicated that laying the foundation stone for the first factory in Dubai for “Als Emirates Ready Mix” represents the launch of a new phase in the company’s growth process and the expansion of its business scope.

He said: “This step confirms our firm commitment to shaping the future of the construction sector in the region, as we contribute, by investing in the latest technological means of production and our strategically located industrial facilities, to enhancing our ability to provide concrete production solutions effectively, with the highest quality standards, and in reliable and sustainable ways, in a way that supports construction projects of all sizes and enhances innovation within the construction sector.”

It is noteworthy that Dubai Industrial City, which was established in 2004, has the necessary components, resources and capabilities to play a pioneering role in shaping the future of the manufacturing and logistics sectors in the region. This destination is distinguished by its advanced infrastructure with a smart design that meets the needs of six vital economic sectors: basic metals, machinery, natural minerals, food and beverages, transportation, and chemicals.

Dubai Industrial City includes more than 1,100 clients from the most prominent international and regional companies and more than 350 factories that have entered into operation. It also plays a prominent role in the global supply chain that contributes to facilitating the access of manufacturing companies to global and regional markets, due to its strategic location in close proximity to Jebel Ali Port, Al Maktoum International Airport, and the Etihad Rail freight station.
