The UAE expressed its concern about renewed military clashes between the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Afghanistan, calling for calming tensions and avoiding any escalation that would worsen the situation in the region.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the need to give priority to the language of reason and wisdom, and to adopt diplomatic means to settle disputes, in a way that enhances security and stability in South Asia. The UAE renewed its support for the efforts aimed at enhancing dialogue and building confidence between the two sides, in order to achieve the aspirations of the peoples of the two countries for peace and development.
